I've been an artist all my life. Mum started it all
when she and I "decorated" the cellar stairway wall with bigger-than-life
drawings of a flower garden in permanent magic markers... and
called it "beautiful". The rules could bend, and even break - with
the right combination of intellent reason, creativity, and
thoughfullness. My Mum is a genius.
I'm an active member of SCBWI, NESCBWI,
and am currently working toward my Certificate in Children's
Book Illustration from RISD (Rhode
Island School of Design). I'm thrilled to have been asked to
take part in an Illustration
Exhibit at the University of
Rhode Island (Feinstein Providence Campus). I’ll
be one of about 35 illustrators connected with RISD – both published
and unpublished that will be showing during September '09.
